Ich reflektiere in meiner künstlerischen Arbeit die Möglichkeiten und Widersprüche einer zunehmend digitalisierten Bildkultur. Meine Kunstwerke weisen meist eine starke physische Präsenz auf, welche den Realraum als für mich primären Erfahrungsraum definieren. Das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen der Körperlosigkeit und Ortlosigkeit virtueller Bilder und der Tatsache, dass die menschliche Wahrnehmung der Welt elementar mit unserem Körper verbunden ist, ist ein wiederkehrendes Motiv meiner bildnerischen Praxis.
My artistic work reflects the possibilities and contradictions of an increasingly digitalized image culture. My works all have a strong physical presence that defines real space as the primary sphere of experience. The charged relationship between virtuality and physical presence is a recurring motif in my artistic practice, as is the exploration of the contradictions between digital—and thus mathematical—abstraction and the literally incalculable “real” world that is increasingly being covered by it.
